Covenant Kids

"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him." Psalm 127:3

Through the teaching of foundational truths and Biblical principles, Covenant Kids aims to draw children closer to their Savior. The ministry meets Sundays and Wednesdays throughout the school year but with many special events coordinated to enhance not only spiritual growth but connectedness within each family, the church body and the community as a whole.

Sundays:

Sunday school offers a chance to dive into scripture and the teachings that correspond with a variety of Biblical heroes and stories that help children to better understand the Bible. Meets Sunday from 9:00-10:15am

Approximately 15 minutes into the 10:45 gathering, Kids Church will be dismissed. At Kids Church, there is a strong emphasis on covering the same principles, topic and scripture that is being preached for adults. In this way, families can discuss the same topic, growing not only stronger in their faith, but also closer in their own relationships.

Wednesdays:

Covenant Kids hosts children from 6:00pm-7:30pm during the school year. Dividing by age/grade allows these kiddos to develop closer relationships and meaningful mentors in their spiritual walk. Children are led in praise and worship during large group, then split off to tackle projects in their classrooms and also get to exercise their physical body during gym time.

All children events include "sword drills" to learn how to use their Bible, find scripture and develop an understanding of how God's story works together.

The H.A.R.V.E.S.T.

Many of us look at "church" as a place that is attended once or twice each week. But 1 Corinthians reminds us: "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." The HARVEST provides an opportunity to come together 2x per month to break bread, hear a devotion as a family and play together. The word HARVEST serves as an acronym: Home, Adventure, Relationships, Values, Evangelism, Salvation, and Truth. The HARVEST meets from 12:00-1:30 pm 2 Sundays per month.

 

Friday Fun Nights

Also 2x per month, these fun filled events are geared towards fun! We will lead a short devotion and then allow kids to build a craft, have fun in the gym, watch a movie, play and connect with friends and more! Some Fridays turn into "Family Fun Nights" where parents are encouraged to join their kiddos for a time of play. "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:1-3.
